File Requirements

PC computers are used at Artcal. Macintosh platform files can also be accepted but it is less problematic if a PC-formatted disk or file is used.

FILE FORMATS

EPS – Encapsulated Postscript

CDR – Corel Draw (Version 15 or lower)

AI – Adobe Illustrator (Version CS3 or lower)

PDF – Adobe Portable Document File

Raster Graphics (Bitmapped Images) are not usable & are subject to an art charge. These include .jpg, .gif, .bmp, etc.


Large Format Digital Printing & Four Colour Process Printing Cut

EPS – Encapsulated Postscript (colour mode-CMYK for screen printing)

CDR – Corel Draw (Version 15 or lower)

TIF – TIFF Bitmap (uncompressed-CMYK for screen printing)

PSD – Adobe Photoshop (colour mode-CMYK for screen printing)

PDF – Adobe Portable Document File (colour mode-CMYK for screen printing)

Files should not be separate; they should be fully assembled & ready to print. Printing

300 d.p.i – actual size (for images that are viewed up close eg.: trade show displays & posters)

100-150 d.p.i. – actual size or 300 d.p.i. @ 1/2 size (for images that are viewed from a distance eg: truck graphics, billboards)


LARGE FILES CAN BE COMPRESSED USING Stuffit, WinZip, WinRar, ETC.


CHECKLIST

CONVERT ALL FONTS TO CURVES/OUTLINES

CONVERT ALL STROKES or OUTLINES TO OBJECTS (with vector graphics, stroked outlines can cause undesirable effects when reproduced)

ENSURE FILES DO NOT NEED TO BE ASSEMBLED PRIOR TO PRINTING (supply artwork as one file, do not supply separate elements in a file folder for our operators to assemble)

INCLUDE COLOUR HARD COPY

SPECIFY PMS COLOURS
